Description
so i already drew Negan from The Walking Dead twice without really studying his face,
more just looking at a photograph of him and try to copy what i see :V

this was my first try

the day after i tried drawing him again ,my second try

(you can see that his face has more volume in the second try)

and today i did a deep study of his facial proportions (in photoshop) by taking a photograph of him(from ze interwebs ofcourse 8V) tracing his facial structure on it
as we see here (feel free to use it if you want to draw Negan as wel C

and then i place the photograph aside so i can still see him and use the facial structure i drew as a base to work on and try to draw him that way

now THAT is how you practice stuff, with tracing and using reference pictures! ;3

(when you trace a face(or anything), your brain is gonna get all that information about all those proportions + your muscles in your hand and arm are gonna learn those movements, that is what we call muscle memory)
