This...is old. Really old. Just lookit that '01 signature. ^^I was just spelunking through the ancient Family Aptiva, and came across the scan. This is an image I really thought I had lost entirely, being that the original was mailed off to that olden Utena Movie DVD fanart competition (didn't win), and I was never sure whether the scan had been eaten by Spree when it stopped supporting free-leeches like myself. Bless pinkfluffy people; imagine my surprise when I came across this in the aptiva.
Mmm...in 01, I didn't have a tablet, but now I do. Redraw this beeyotch I ought to, just to compair and supply her with a shoulder girdle..

Wah, I'm so happy everytime I see a FanArt (OR a fan XD) from Utena :3
It's my favorite anime and unfortunally I don't know much people who even know Utena...
Anyway, great picture! I love the style, maybe because it's not a PC-coloration but it was made with "natural" mediums.
Sad that you didn't win...

Thank you. It's okay that I didn't win, it was something of a last minute thing and quite honestly, there are (were?) a lot of good fanartist around for Utena that might've entered. I never saw the DVD with the images of who won, though- I only had numerous IRC/torrent downloads.
But I'm surprised you're having trouble finiding Utena fans? It was quite the trend back when I drew it, but I do admit the craze died down signifigantlt a year after it ended. ;_; Sadness.

Well... Maybe I look at the wrong places
I have the DVD, but I can't remember of great FanArts... wich maybe caused that I just don't remember any of the FanArts on this disc *cough*
It has to be... one year ago as I found the Utena series in a store and only one of my closer friends even know Utena... maybe I know the wrong people or it just don't have this popularity in germany... don't know

That is so amazing! AND in colored pencils (go old school meida!) you have go so much talent!! I like the more unconventional composition (as oposed to usual Utena art. ) I like it alot. And the open jacket is a cool idea ^_____________^
