Hahaha am I qualified enough to teach you? Can't remember if I traced this with Illustrator though, but all I can't say is you have to be comfortable with the pen tool. And, for tracing, you just have to differentiate the hilites, midtones and shadows and keep the colors minimal. My other Jessica Alba vector is done with Flash, and that was much faster to create.

looks loosely done, like you were doing it for fun, not too hard around the edges, but i can still make out who she is, but since it's a one hour job, it looks pretty funky to me. change some colors to abstract and u got yourself a pop art. wahey!
