Jason was walking inside his house, he had an incredibly stressful day at work and was looking forward to seeing his girlfriend, Ashley. As he entered, he saw her laying on the couch scrolling through her phone. She smiled and walked to kiss him. However, when she leaned her head up to kiss him, he suddenly shrunk down to eye level. Ashley leaned back in shock and asked "babe, did, did you just shrink?!"
Jason looked at his now baggy clothes and teared up a bit. He knew exactly what happened, and so did Ashley. He had the shrinking virus.

The shrinking virus was an extremely rare virus that would reduce the cells of men. There had only been around a couple thousand cases of it, and no government saw it as a real threat. The world only started taking it seriously when the president of the US, Robert Antonio, shrunk during a speech. He shrunk to an astounding 1/10 of a millimeter over time. Unfortunately, he was last seen falling into his wife's pantyhose, and nobody has been able to find him in there.

A cure was invented, but all it did was halt your shrinking at 1 centimeter. Still, Jason and Ashley were determined to get that cure. Ashley rushed Jason to the hospital, all while she was comforting him by talking about all the good parts of being shrunk, like the inherent invulnerability, or no longer needing food, water, or sleep. Yet Jason was still miserable about the whole situation.

When they walked out of the car, Jason's head was at the level of Ashley's chest. They sprinted through the front door and talked to the receptionist. Jason was immediately brought into a special looking room, with devices strewn all around the place. Thankfully, Ashley was allowed in the room as well, and she continued to comfort Jason, though she decided to talk about more of the sexual perks that came with being small, something he actually quite liked the thought of.

Eventually, a nurse walked into the room, she was holding a vial of liquid around an inch thick, and two inches tall. She told Jason to drink it, and he did so without hesitation. The liquid actually tasted quite good, and he could feel the shrinking gradually slow down. The nurse also began talking to Jason.
"By legal standards, you are no longer a citizen, you are an animal, meaning that you no longer have any actual rights. This means that Ashley here will have to sign this paper to become your legal owner, and by doing this, she has full right to do whatever she wants with you. Might I add that a new law might be passed that will make it so that if your place of residency doesn't allow pets, you have to get rid of any shrunken people, and if you visit any of these no animal places with a shrunken human, you will be fined anything the government demands."

After that long-winded explanation, the nurse gave Ashley a sheet of paper and she immediately signed it. After this, the nurse began speaking to Ashley.
"If Jason shrinks to at least a foot tall, you are entitled to give him to a shrinking virus refuge, they are incredibly nice homes made specifically for victims like Jason."
Ashley gave her a weird look, and asked "I thought those were notorious for being under-supplied?"

"Oh, what you've heard was just hoaxes made to discredit all of the good that President Zoey has done for shrinking victims."
Ashley gave the nurse a nod, knowing full well that it's been confirmed that those "resorts" are hellholes. Ashley still thanked the hospital staff, and walked out of there with Jason. They drove home and once they made it, they both sat on the couch contemplating the future. Eventually, Ashley decided to take a shower to clear her head.

He panicked and looked around, he could tell he had shrunken more, and was around a foot tall. He thought that he must've fallen off the couch. He stood up and turned around, when he did he saw Ashley's colossal feet in front of him, and he thought that maybe being tiny wouldn't be so bad.
