Looks great, but not very creative. You have such an amazing skill with coloring, so why don't you try making an epic background or perhaps change up the color scheme or style. An artist is supposed to grow and expand his talents. You are honestly one of the last few great anime colorists I see on here other than and a select few others. Everyone else uses the same panels and same colors with no originality. Please don't fall from grace and lose your edge.

As for this particular picture, yes you are right, I noticed that too the background I made looks pretty standard/medicore.. To be honest, I'm not quite good with backgrounds than I do with my character colouring.

I think too that your major weakness are background, otherwise your character colouring is not only good, is really the best I have seen so far around deviantart.
Take for example this panel, it has been draw tons of times since its apparition, yet yours while not being too much original, is still at the top if not the best colorization I have seen of it, but lacks the "uniqueness" it could have,
I think "Near-Luvs-Toys" has a point, try to move from your "comfort zone", and your color would be the best.
