Another part of Tassos's storyline unfolds :'D This occurs some undetermined time after Tassos recovers from their injuries, and you can see that they have grown up quite a bit in response to the damage that Wren has done. They have finally grown into their antlers, now sporting a large and dangerously sharp rack, as well as thickened claws and a taller, stronger body. Come at them scrublord, they're ripped.

Tassos has always considered the forests of Loonia to be their domain - they freely wander from the coldest pine forests down to the shaded thickets and grasslands, but will not venture much beyond them except to span any gaps between one forested area to another. This entire stretch of land (however large it may be) belongs to them, in their mind. They have never minded loons passing through or even living in the forests with them, so long as they were respectful of the land.

With Wren's invasion into the forest and attacking not only them but other innocent loons, they've taken to defending the loons that reside within the forest and driving away unwanted, dangerous, or destructive loons when they find them. However, they're unlikely to actively seek (many) specific threats, or to help any loons unless they appear to be in serious trouble. The world is a big place, after all, and Tassos doesn't very often roam far from their "core" forest. That being said, if you ever want to draw them defending your loon from a threat, feel free to use them in stories or pics <3 If you're writing them though, please ask me about it first so we can make sure that they're accurately portrayed!

The wind whispered softly, such sweet songs. Cold, but tolerable. Winter was set in full now. Many snows had fallen and melted before, but this one seemed to stick. The sun hid low on the horizon during the day, bringing less and less warmth as the days grew shorter and shorter. But now, darkness washed over the sky. It was comforting.

Night had fallen, and the moon and stars with it. They smiled down upon the things that wandered and prowled and slept below, twinkling peacefully in the darkness. The sky was clearest during the winter, the air the cleanest and most crisp. It was invigorating.

A flash of light suddenly seemed to turn the night into day. Ribbons of greens and blues and yellows danced across the sky, waving and shimmering from one horizon to the next. Brilliant displays that shook and shifted as they seemed to play up there, high in the sky. They coloured the snow and ice, bringing life to a cold and motionless landscape. Such a sight that few perhaps had ever seen. It was beautiful.

As the sky danced, there seemed to be whispers in the air. A voice only once heard. It was quiet.

The voice spoke of protection and safety beneath the stars, but most of all in the forests that stretched across the land. It was calm.

It promised to give shelter to those that sought it, and to those that most dearly needed it. It was patient.

It vowed to defend the inhabitants and the passers-by of the forests and the woodlands and the shaded glades and fens, for they were in their domain.

But it was not on the wind; it was not on the air. This voice whispered from the shadows.

The voice warned those that sought to bring chaos and misfortune to others in their domain. It was quiet.

It promised that those that brought with them disaster and pain that they would never find shelter nor solace among the trees. It was patient.

It vowed that if you seek to draw the blood of an innocent, you will not be shown mercy.

It was wrath.
