i sometimes believe the grey doesnt fit.. maybe more black and a little sepia line or something. just an opinion

I think it should stay right where it is...I wouldnt consider it photomanipulation!! I Love it!!!

Sorry, I was being funny. I meant the lightning comes from a box of software called Photo Impact Pro 10. It is an image editing package.

You make a good point. I was on the fence when I submitted it, but this image is the kind of thing I could have made in my traditional wet darkroom, most of the photo is unmanipulated, and the effect is completely photographic, so I left it in photo. Thanks, P.

advice: stick to a little black frame, perhaps 10px.
what you have now really ruins the fel of the picture

HI there, I usually play around with .05 to .10 inch black inner frames (to simulate a matte). I do usually stick with the narrower values, but some pics, like this one which is very dark, tends to eat up the black more so than others. I actually tried it both ways. I preferred this one. Perhaps it has something to do with my middle-aged eyes. Thanks, P.
