so this has been on my mind. when you make these do you just put random strokes down to get the effect of that roughness or is every stroke planned? personally when I try doing it like this I tend to plan every stroke which takes some time

Most of the time, its a random strokes, then little by little i add details to it. but still retaining the dynamic look of the strokes.
