Concept of a fairytale dragon done due to the challenge found at pojedynki concept artu - facebook group where some polish concept artists battle using their ideas.
The task was to create an incredibly fairy-like, magical dragon.
Description:
My little friend here lives in a big group and it's rather tiny. A grown up male can sit on your hands put together in a shape of a bowl. Looks rather cute and harmless. Feeds with bigger bugs and small animals which he entices with his sparkling tail and lighted aura surrounding him while flying.
This dragon is very sociable and nosy. He likes travelling with quiet and serene people – often helps them find their way by lighting up the foggy forest he lives in. You can meet him mostly by the lake as he loves humid areas and prefers to nap on Nymphaea leafs.
While endangered, my dragon pulls out his razor sharp teeth and claws, which aren't really visible normally. He bristles his wings and that webbed ruff on his head to scare off the enemy.
Those dragons attack in big groups, mostly biting and scratching. They may also use green, poisoning powder produced with their tails (which is normally shiny and harmless). Grown up males may sometimes use an acid smoke breath, but it's a rare ability.
