Interesting subject. The first thought that comes to mind about this character is the Conquistador Francisco Pizarro, who invaded Peru and claimed the Inca empire for the Spanish. You give him this aura of menace, like a mastermind plotting his way to personal fame and riches, wherever he aims to set foot in the New World.
