I know I don't have an ice cubes chance in hell to win this thing just hope to maybe just maybe get in the top 25. I didn't use any stock piece like I knew a lot of people would and went all frank miller on this one. It was a pain but the love for the movies kinda kept me going. think this one took me about 13 hours or so with a mix of sumi and pro black ink on 11x17 Bristol Board, all done with brush and nib. Hope you guys likeUpdate: Well I didn't make the top 25, not going to teeth gnash it too much ill just try to sell it.

I'm a huge comic book fan so I think this style (Miller-like) complements Riddick's personality and the world he lives in well. Its great work!

yeah I thought so to, thought it would play to his dark nature ect. Hope the others believe that too but I have a feeling those nice photoshop paintings will get the win...unfortunately. B&W art doesn't really get enough respect as a medium

I hear ya, I submitted a couple pieces myself but I have a sneaking suspicion that the photo-realism is what they were looking for... then again who knows. Regardless, its nice to compete. Great motivation!

yeah loads of tracing, and manips out there just hope the hand drawn stuff like yours catch the DA guys attention. I attempted to up the ante a bit with my work on this one so we shall see.
