Working out the canvas sketch-in for Listen 5. One of the things I am happiest about (and scared of) with the Listen series is the opportunity to paint people of different backgrounds, ethnicities and ages that I may not get to locally or through commissions. It's a wonderful chance to grow as an artist and a bit intimidating. The support has been tremendous since I started the series again - thanks so much. The best way to support it is to purchase a print or related merchandise - every bit helps in keeping the series going - keep trudging

thanks so much. For this one I'm working on a birch panel - I also use the standard intermediate grade gallery wrap canvases with about Β 3 coats of gesso, sanded between coats.
