I finally got a chance to catch Brave in the theater. In my opinion it was not as good as I was expecting. It was not a Pixar caliber title. It had potential, the world was great, characters were great, animations were also great, but the story was just too straight forward. It was very predictable. I won't say much because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who havent had a chance to see it yet. ) Go watch it, if you haven't )Related content

I took my brother to see that in the cinema, we laughed right through because we actually call our mum Grizzly Bear for reasons you can imagine. It's one of my favourites because of that. And I love Merida, and this piece is a great depiction of her.

It's not necessarily a bad bow hold. I go shooting regularly, and the only things I can see wrong are which side of the bow the arrow is placed on and her grip on the arrow.

This is an amazing depiction. The style you used really captured the energy of the character. But I think that Pixar might have made a conscious choice to focus on the characters rather than the story, show how situations can effect them. I went in expecting a warriors epic, a fight between good and evil. However I came out of it having watched a heartwarming story about love, hope, and overcoming miscommunication. Not the typical Pixar story, but an amazing movie none the less.
