Description
Rí na Seilidí (king of snails) is the mount owned, used and trained by Myasma Nettlebrook - a notorious sap trader and nomad of the New Forest.The saddle is Primarily made from Picea abies (european spruce) cone scales and stripped sycamore seeds, stitched together using bullrush and sycamore leaf veins, nettle twine and yew tree sap. The seat is a carved acorn cupule.
The snail is made entirely from translucent polymer clays.

That would be pretty neat if you superglued that saddle on a real snail.
I mean, like, something non-toxic/ semmi perminant or soemthing...

Well I used yew tree sap to glue the pine scales together… so tree sap would work. It would also have to be a big snail… like a giant land snail… but then I'd have to make the saddle for it… this one fits the one I made. because of the harness around the spiral, it also slides forwards and backwards… needed for when the snail decides to travel vertical.

Yeah… thanks.. I'm really surprised. The thing is it's only part of a diorama I'm putting together… there's mushrooms and moss and a little guy riding him. Making the rider now.

Well I know it's irritating getting a DD on something that is a WIP BUT you will be getting tons of watchers and activity so in the long run more people will see the finished piece!
Once you are done with it, you can always link the finished piece in this one's description because people will still be visiting this particular deviation for quite some time.
