Brought in for destruction of Greendale Community College property, Jeff savagely attacked an innocent table in one of the study rooms of the campus library with a fire axe, believing it to be evil and controlling the lives of him and his study partners. Prior to the incident, Jeff had been exposed to poison monkey gas while allegedly chasing fellow student (and former Greendale Spanish instructor) Ben Chang through the air ducts. Exposure to the gas may have had a hallucinatory effect on him, causing him to lash out in such a way. While in custody, Winger drove the pick of the axe, being held as evidence, through his own cellular phone. The reason for this is unknown.
