Me: It seems that Sonic wants in on the 5th Generation Super Smash Bros. Tournament, possibly making it in a third time in a row. Master Hand and Crazy Hand (Sakurai and his team) can get really picky and sneaky with the roster. I mean, PAC-MAN didn't make the cut in the 3rd Generation (Brawl) due to his Pizza like design, but later was accepted in 4th Generation (3DS/Wii U). The Ice Climbers failed to make the cut in the 4th Generation due to some... complications (The 3DS version is to blame for that.) And not to mention, only one character could win the Fighter Ballot, and Bayonetta made the cut for winning the Ballot while there were some uninvited candidates that the Hands simply refused to allow.
Vio: We understand that Goku's popularity could lead him into the ballot, but most people want to include characters like Shrek and SpongeBob because their franchises are mostly, I repeat, MOSTLY meme machines, and The Hands and the Master Core (Nintendo) wouldn't want their universes to be a meme infestation. And, come on, the only reason why people would want characters like Freddy Fazbear and Sans is because of the crazy fan bases for FNAF and Undertale perspectively. Admit it!

Yeah, won't happen since the other mascots tend to be left in the vault. Also, Sonic may be in since there is a chance this new Smash game may end up being a Switch port of Super Smash Bros. For Wii U.

Metal Sonic will not be added since he will end up being a Sonic clone, and Wonder Eyes Pink will not be added because if a Wonderful 101 character is to be added, it will end up being Wonder Eyes Red. Viewtiful Joe will be good, but I'll take whatever Nintendo will give us.
