FINALLY, after almost 46 years of banishment he will be back !!!!!
I only wish my headcanon won't be ruined. But heck, disappointment will come later. For now, I'm super excited !!!
Here's anyway a "sequel" (I don't think this happened the same day, though) of this : benthehyena.deviantart.com/art… I don't remember if I told you, but in my headcanon, the Hatbox Ghost got banished from the attic in 1969 because he accidently killed the very last Gracey, who didn't become a ghost but immediatly went to the Other Side. The Gracey family ended with him. So of course, imagine how HAPPY it made his ancestors, the Ghost Host and Master Gracey !!! The Ghost Host already hated Hatty, and since then, hated him even more. Master Gracey was neutral to him, but since then, he started to dislike him a lot. If he still remained the 999th happy haunt and didn't got fully banished (I believe he remains in the graveyard), it's thanks to his wife, Emily, the Ghost Host's niece and Master Gracey's daughter. They didn't want to break her heart. This comics maybe takes place in the 1970-1980's.
So now, I have to imagine a new theory for why they accepted him again (maybe he did a heroic act or something like that), but anyway, next May, the Gracey brothers won't be very happy about this. I promise I'll draw something about it !
But for now, Hatty's still trying to enter and fails. God, I LOVED drawing this. I was laughing all alone when I drew him all kawai and as a girl scout !!!

Purply Shroud, also known as "the Shrouded Ghost", was a shrouded figure haunting the Séance Room along with Madame Leota. At the first Haunted Mansion Holidays he was taken off, but apparently at the end of the HMH they just… forgot to put him back. While he worked perfectly well ! I made him the hero and narrator of my fanfic "How the Haunted Mansion became an attraction".

Purply shroud was this purple-tinted whisp that used to be in the sèance circle, approximately adjacent to Leo, marked on blueprints as "ghost on blown silk" similar to the ome in the graveyard's mausoleum. Long Forgotten Haunted Mansion blogspot did a post on it, calling it "purply shroud", though I'd like to call her Violet
