From roots to spores, drilling the land for dead matters to eat and spreading its seeds around for new territory to conquer in its eternal hunger.In my mind, raw life seems like a flower... so would do a colossus from this plane

In the aftermath of the contest semifinals, people were claiming that traditional entries (with the exception of the sculptures that did place) couldn't make the cut. I think they spoke too soon. I'd be inclined to take this over the life colossi that did make the semifinals - which I thought either lacked intimidation or clarity - the composition of their work and angle made it very difficult to estimate or judge the form and anatomy of their conepts.

In all honnesty, if I agree with the fact some of selected entries are difficult to "read", I think my own work lacks of finishing (not sure if it's the right term in english, I hope you get the idea), so I wasn't really expecting any chance to be selected.
I've been surprised though not to see some other works, either traditionnal or digital, being left over, as to my mind they were gathering all the criteria to be winners . That said, I think judging between all these entries must be a tough and ungrateful task, so I won't add my voice to the debate running on the contest's thread
