Description Out of all my OC characters, Laura is the only one I’ve based off myself. She’s my most widely used character as well, considering she’s made several appearances in various rps and fics I’ve written. There are many different versions of her, but the one in the picture and the following description is the one I use in my AU X-Men: Evolution world. This description is actually quite long, but I’ll try to sum her up the best I can.

● Name: Laura Griglak
Code Name: none
Age: 67 in summer 2001

Appearance: While she is 68 years old, she has the appearance of a woman in her early twenties late teens. This is because ten years to us is only one year to her (she got this power when she was around seventeen). Her hair is light brown. Her eyes are also a light brown, and she has an athletic build. She stands around 5’ 3” and usually wears whatever tickles her fancy.

Powers: Laura has a vast variety of powers. A few of these include her ability to transform into a white timber wolf, a harpy eagle and a dragon (and any form in between). From all these forms she gained the power of a long life (she aged 1 relative year for every 10 normal years), but she lost the ability later on.
When in her wolf form she has heightened strength, senses and agility. She can run at an average speed of 60-70 mph but can run faster if the need were to arise. Her jaws are incredibly strong and her bones are almost impossible to break. This allows her to bite through just about anything, including metal. Her claws are sharp as well, but not as useful as her teeth. She can also emit a sound wave that acts as a sort of sonic boom.
In her eagle form she has heightened strength, senses (super sight) and agility as well. She can fly at an average speed of 100 mph, and can attack with incredibly sharp talons or a powerful hooked beak. She can also emit powerful gusts of wind by flapping her wings. Another attack that spurs from this form is something akin to “razor wind” from Pokemon. It can be very useful when your foe is hard to catch. Excellent memory is another feature of her owl form, but since it wasn’t until years later that she got this ability, many of her memories were lost, and she can’t remember much of her original life. She almost prefers this however, considering she can never go back anyway.
She has heightened strength, senses while in her dragon form too. Though she’s not the swiftest in this form, it does grant her with the most strength. She stands on two or four legs and has bat-like wings that attach to her back. Her can shoot sharp spikes near its end and has a flat eye shaped blade on the tip that can open and close like a pair of scissors. She is slightly larger than a horse while in this form, and while sharp spikes line her back, they are able to flatten down to allow people to ride comfortably on her back. She can also draw out and collect the oxygen in the air to allow her to breathe underwater for while, but she still needs to surface after around fifteen minutes to gather some fresh air.
While in her human form she can use any combination of these abilities and can even sprout some extra appendages when she wants to. For example, she can sprout her wolf fangs or dragon tail, or even her eagle wings or dragon wings.
She can also curl up into a ball and rotate really fast, allowing her to use her dragon tail or spikes as a blade. She can use various fire techniques as well (in any of her forms), such as producing and controlling fire. She can also withstand almost any amount of heat, and summon a sword (Orion), which she seems to draw out of thin air. Orion is a magical sword that changes its element depending on its owner, and Laura’s element just happens to be fire. One of its most useful features is the shield it produces in defense. It can also produce an attack similar to Inuyasha’s wind scar, but must less powerful.
She also has the ability to turn into a cougar. See, she got bitten by a radioactive cougar while in a world where every day was Tuesday, and as a result, she gained the power to turn into a cougar, but on Tuesdays only.
Lastly, and possibly most importantly, is her medallion. With this medallion she can teleport to different worlds on the night of a full moon. The medallion is also what gave her fire abilities.

Weaknesses: Okay, so you know how she has wolf, eagle and dragon powers? Well, technically, she was physically only suppose to have one of those, but due to strange circumstances, she was granted with the ability to use all three. This however came with a price. She may have a bunch of different powers and be a lot stronger now, but her body physically can't handle the three powers like it should, so when it's exposed to substances that deteriorate (poisons, acids, bases etc.), her body reacts faster than most.
She also has a sensitivity to high pitched sounds (though she /can/ handle loud sounds) and certain scents (powerful, unpleasant, chemical etc.).

Secret Strength: Because the powers of the three tribes were endowed upon Laura by a special ritual, she holds a secret power within her that not even she knows about (in most versions). It comes from the myth that, when brought together, the three tribes (wolf, eagle and dragon) all form a great and powerful beast. Having all three powers residing within her, Laura can combine them to form a replica of this great beast, allowing her to transform into its form for a period of time. However, she is only able to do this in extreme situations, not on mere whims.

Background Information: Laura started out as a 16-year-old high school student who lived in Wisconsin and lived a relatively normal life. However, one evening in February of her junior year, she went to the band room after her last performance of The Music Man (the school musical), when suddenly, a fire broke loose. She was the only person in the room at the time, and got trapped within the flames. That’s when she saw two wolves, one black and one white, and with a sudden flash of light she was teleported away to a world called Zambar by a medallion that could travel through dimensions every full moon. The wolves hadn’t meant to bring her along, but she’d gotten in the way and was now stuck in Zambar, so Iron (the white wolf) decided to take her in. You see, in Zambar, wolves, raptors (birds of prey), and dragons ruled the land, and while humans existed, they weren’t held in as high a position of power. Also, there’s only one full moon every five years (about), so it was impossible for Laura to go home for a while after getting there. She later came to find out that the black wolf had been a villain named Ryo who was trying to take the medallion from Iron for its powers (Iron was unable to teleport Laura home the first night due to the commotion with Ryo). She also learned that there was a war going on in Zambar that involved Ryo striving for world domination by way of three magical medallions. It would take way to long to explain the technicalities of this world, but in short, Laura joins the war one year later after Iron dies fighting Ryo, and she gets his wolf powers and long life span.
However, once the full moon rolls around for the second time, she decides to travel to different worlds for a while—considering she now has possession of the medallion. Near the end of her following forty years of travel—during which time she does things like, train Pokemon, become a better fighter, and acquire her sword, Orion—she decided to take a break from learning physical/fighting skills, and actually finish her high school education. She chose a relatively simple world where some people had powers, and others did not, but it was all normal—kinda like a more tolerant version of x-men. It was there, during her senior year of high school, that she met Zac McReavy. He could tell there was something different about her, and eventually found out about her dimension hopping skills. Intrigued, he begged her to take him with her when she left his world, and after much begging they struck a deal: She would take him with her, but only if they stayed for a while and went through college first. She wanted to finish her education, and thought he ought to too. Well, long story short, they went to college together, fell in love and got married a few years later. After college—Zac majoring in the sciences, and Laura in animation—the two finally set off on their long awaited adventures.
However, there came a day when Laura got sick and Zac needed to go to a different world to ask some old friends for medicine (Laura was too sick to tag along). So, Zac took her medallion and left with their new born son, Nicholas (by Laura’s insistence…She was wasn’t feeling well enough to take care of a baby)…only...they didn't come back. Leeva ended up killing Zac while he was there, taking the medallion, and coming back to kill Laura herself. A big fight ensues (after a period of running and recuperating), yadda yadda, and Laura gets her medallion back in the end (though she doesn't manage to kill Leeva). She doesn't want to believe that Zac and Nic are actually gone, and goes to look for them. But after checking with her friends—and doing some extra searching—she eventually concludes that they were indeed...dead (except for Nic…He really survived)...
Shortly after that she returns to Zambar only to find it still engaged in war. She re-joins the war, a bunch of stuff happens, and to make a long story short, she gains the rest of her abilities and Ryo is defeated.
After the whole war thing Laura happened upon Beebo’s world, and quickly befriended the bouncy monkey girl. However, she needed a place to settle down for a while, and Beebo’s world just wasn’t going to cut it. It was then that she decided to take Beebo to the X-Men: Evolution world, where they would both live for the time being. At first they convinced everyone there that they were mutants, and Laura became an instructor at the Xavier Institute…From there, the story takes many different and exciting turns, including the Frasier plot and Beebo’s Grand Adventure—where she loses her power of long life.
