Not a big gamer myself...though I did grow up on consoles all the way from 8 bit NES's up to Nintendo 64s, all the way up before they got all fancy and multiplayer capable. I'd like to take a good look at the newer ones...once my paycheck leaves me a little more breathing room XD

I grew up using both, but my recent Mac has been very annoyingly problematic. Wi Fi connectivity issues (a problem with the new OS 10.9 I bought it with at the time, I'm told), not to mention a faulty USB port that causes my drawing tablet monitor to flicker like a Saturday night rave. Ugh. NOT happy to experience these on a comp that's basically new. I agree that they both have their merits though...guessing mine happened to be a fluke.

I think that was related to some "social justice warrior" who didn't want cloppers in the SU fandom. Pretty much a moot point to me since EVERY fandom has a minority like that. Not to mention I'm sure the vast majority of people in both fandoms are totally cool and it's just the wacky minority that tends to be the loudest / most noticed / used to negatively portray everyone in said fandoms.
Personally, I'm not sure if there was a "war" going on. If there was, I wasn't part of it back then and I refuse to be a part it now. I enjoy both shows because they're awesome, not for the drama.
