After graduating, Scootaloo moved to Cloudsdale to start a new branch of Cutie Mark Crusaders. (Rainbow Dash assisted her trip.) Scoots joined the weather factory as a source of income. On the side, she began coaching a hoofball team for fillies and colts, always reminding them to be true to their hearts.

During this time, Scoots and Rumble remained friends. Rumble also worked at the weather factory. Rumble worked hard and was soon promoted. Still, Rumble felt inadequate compared to his older brother. Thunderlane was still a Wonderbolt; Rumble had entered the reserves but strained a wing and had to drop out of the program. This left a dent in his self worth. Aside from work, Rumble shut himself in his house and kept to himself.

Several years later, Scootaloo invited Rumble to watch one of Sweetie Belle's concerts. After the concert (which was fun for all involved), Scootaloo and Rumble began to hang out more often. Scootaloo's constant encouragement helped Rumble to feel good about himself again.

Scootaloo used a cloud-powered hoverboard to get around; she and Rumble would often race. Eventually, Scootaloo proposed. They were married the following year. Rainbow Dash was the ring bearer and her daughter Jetstream was the flower filly, Sweetie Belle and Coloratura sang, Apple Bloom was the best mare, even Princess Flurry Heart came to congratulate them.

Rumble and Scootaloo's only son is named Boomerang. Nicknamed Boomer, this colt is a hoofball prodigy. Scootaloo is so greatful that Boomer can fly properly. Scootaloo, Rumble, and Boomer travel often. Scootaloo quit her job at the weather factory to help manage Sweetie Belle's tours. She always comes back to Cloudsdale in the fall to coach hoofball, much to Boomer's embarrassment. Rumble began working in the physical therapy field.
