Description
This is an old rainmeter skin I made long time ago based on Vindurriel 's splinter cell skin [link] . I have almost completely rewritten the code to minimize CPU consumption while adding reflection effect.Credits goes to for the original idea and execution.
Tested on the latest Rainmeter 2.1 release and older builds.
Features:
--------------------------
Show cast your favorite artworks with styles
Mix & Match your image collection (*update* no longer supported in newer current version of Rainmeter)
Click-to-open current image, edit/delete on the fly with the default image browser (Windows Photo Viewer?)
Work Best with MagazinelikeTime by [link]
Integrate well with Omnimo by [link]
I have included a small gallery of artworks from talented Deviontartists and breathtaking landscape photography from InterfaceLIFT contributers (as a jump start). I hope it is alright to include their masterpieces like this as I don't have the strength to credit each and every one of them here. Otherwise, please let me know so I would remove it from the skin pack. Please show you appreciation to the original artists if you like their works.

Super recent comment I guess, Is it possible to make the images on the picComp.ini thing turn into a slideshow with it's source being like a folder of randomly chosen pictures?
(Just a thought)
Post edit: I guess that is what the "ImagePath=" is for, Herp de derp.

I've used this skin in the past and had to have it back, great work. In the past, the images would be random, much like the one example above. Is there some config change that needs to be done to do that? Now I only seem to get the same image across each box.

thanks, the config file picComp.ini uses multiple random images whereas picBox.ini uses a single image at a time.
Are u deploying the picComp.ini on rainmeter?

May seem to be a very stupid question and for that I apologise, I've only just started using rainmeter. Now is it possible to have multiple of these at a time or am i limited to one? Also can you change the actual size of the panels? Thank you

Ha, that's not stupid at all. Actually I find it challenging to explain this to you... 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
As you can see in the preview image, this comes in 2 styles, so you can have 2 (one of each style) on your desktop at the same time.
If you want 2 of the same style, you will have to locate the skin directory (something like SplitPictureSlider under c:\Users\
As for the panel size, it can't be change in my skins, but you could check out Vindurniel's skin (linked in description) for that reason.

Sorry my skin does not support custom resolution because of the limitation of rainmeter's code library as of 2.0. But you can use Vindurriel's skin [link] instead as he uses non-native code to resize images and let you customize the skin's resolution.

You can first open the Manage Rainmeter window.
Expand the skins directory tree on the left like
SplitPictureSlider > picBox > pix.ini
select the pix.ini and click the Load button on the right
Do the same to
SplitPictureSlider > picComp > pixComp.ini
to activate the alternative skin.

Thanks for an update of knowledge. "ImageCrop" seems exciting.
A little question
[bg2]
meter=image
meterstyle=bg
x=460;380
w=120;220
Does the part after the semicolon work or is it just a comment?

Thanks, and yes those are simply comment. Forgive my lazy coding, I didn't have a pubic release in mind back then.
Loved your original idea.

Hello, I change the folder distination for see my pict in the slider, but in the picComp.ini, where is the line or to force the image to be the size of the slideshow?
Thanks

Berserk-er In reply to orphoe [2012-10-15 12:17:07 +0000 UTC]
regrettably, the image size has to be fixed. You may need to use program like ACDSee to batch resize your your images (to a new folder)
