Description
The Command Wolf is one of the Republic's oldest designs, and it's most stable. In a time when wild zoids roamed thick over Zi, the Command Wolf was simply plucked from nature, given some modifications, and released to the army. The first Command Wolf was not one unit, but a natural pack of wild zoids. 'Tamed' by Republic scientists using both mechanical and spiritual means, the wild wolves were disected, studied, and re-assembled to the liking of the engineers. What they got was a stable medium scout platform, capable of holding a variety of weapons, and readily available for modification.
The Wolves shown in the picture represent the original Command Wolf, with it's stock custom armor, the Irvine Custom, a popular customization package made popular by the mercenary Irvine, and the Command Wolf Grade-Up, an upgraded version of the Command Wolf to be used in front line situations, and in fast battle.
(I'm kinda wiped out, dont feel like writing much. I might get back to this.)

I'm a fan of the blue paint job but the Irvine Custom, in my opinion, wins hands down in strength and fortitude. I mean, how many times did this guy get thrashed and smashed while Irvine journeyed with the gang?
Obviously there was some strong armor on that wolf.

I always kinda put it down to Irvine's skill and talent. He could pretty much hold his own against vastly superior zoids, and consistently thrashed stuff that was supposed to be Command-Wolf level in strength (including other Command Wolves). But yes, 'Wolf' was a fantastically conditioned and experienced Zoid.

The Command Wolf was always my favourite. Unfortunately, I'm not too well versed in any Zoids series other than the Bit Cloud-Liger Zero series (although I did catch every episode of that on video somewhere), so I can't comment as in depth as I'd like here. The central one reminds me a bit of the later Shadowfox, but that's perhaps because its center of gravity is thicker and towards the front, lower to the ground. Interesting pose on that anyway, because of the larger gun mount.
I smiled to see this. Nicely done.

BerserkOrangeFury In reply to Dashster [2005-12-04 06:01:06 +0000 UTC]
Indeed you can, but I have stated many, many times throught my portfolio that I almost exclusively use Adobe Illustrator. That, and Flash does not afford you the same amount of control that you get from Illustrator. Furthermore, Flash is primarily a content assembly program. Vector graphic support just happens to be in there, and is quite usefull, but I would not use it for basic layout and illustration work, which is what I primarily use Illustrator for.
In conclusion: Illustrator is what I use, because it is the superior vector-based graphics program. noob.

Another great pic! I have to say, the commander wolves are my favorite type of zoids. I find that, if I had the choice to get one out of the three that u have above, I would choose the first, it's lighter then the rest which means it can move faster, still has guns that can me used with pinpoint precision, but the main thing for me is the speed and the ability to dodge incoming objects like missles or other zoids.

Aw, thanks! The funny thing is, I was just about done with it more then a week ago, but I forgot about it for some reason. I just remembered about it after I finished the Rev Raptor, so I loaded it up, put on the finishing touches, posed them, fucked something up, posed them again, and uploaded.
Guess I should stick with the faded use of gradients, then. I was wondering if that would go over well. Once again, Zink, thanks for your coments.
