Description
a new version of the RobotBox. Now with a moody BGround and more textures. (i used Overlay in prescanned textures)-somekind of a tribute to AshleyWood, my personal choice as the true master of robots.

It breathes out a little bit of Wood, Mattoti and you. I'm not saying you are copying anything.. it's a perfect mixture in my opinion. You have a great personal style. Ashley has always been one of my favorites too.

Its unavoidabe to blend influences of geniuses (i love also GlennBarr, Crumb, NicolasdeCrecy, McKean, ohMignola)

think this gels together better than the previous version - the background's been integrated into the piece really well.
I like the iconic nature of the first one, the overall look of this one - two great pieces.

hey, your retouching on the colors and texture of the image were great. U really teach me a different -and more dramatic- solution to the same subject. Sometimes i'm so design-oriented that i forget atmospheres and lighting. Who better than a great photographer to help me finish the lesson??

and I can see a Ashley Wood impact in some of your works... your more minimalist in my opinion and u use more texture based materials and less ammm... brush strokes textures.

hey si te gustan los ilustradores de robots no convencionales busca en internet Chichoni, el es un ilustrador de robots pero ochentoso y de una factoria mas derroida industrial, mezclado con humanos, seria la antitesis De Soroyama( el cual ya debes conocer)
