I promised I'd have actual art up soon but I lied because ACen is so close now. Costume cram, fffffuuuuuck ):

This is the shortwave radio I made for my Jack costume 8D

I made this out of an old cassette player I scored for a buck at the local salvation army store. I know it's not perfect -- it's thinner, missing a few trinkets and looks rather un-radio like in general but I still find it pretty cute for something that was made on a small budget with an even smaller time limit.

At first I was going to paint it with a little more gold, but I figured it's shaded that way from the light. I might go over it once more, however, just because. I also have to re-glue the handle with something stronger.

It also has a clip on the back! <:
