Description

The majority of the world's lighthouses border the seas, salty spray battering their foundations. These oceanic beacons remain the oldest. As humanity began to bring larger and larger watercraft through fresh currents, these structures were built along Seventh's domain. They sit, perched on their breakwaters and their rocky shores, remaining as inscrutable as Seventh itself when seen from a distance. The pulse of the lights as they swing forever from one side to the next, warning mariners away from treacherous shallows.

Seventh does not leave the water to approach these diligent edifices, though it will often stand vigil near one for prolonged periods, occasionally causing moments of confusion if a sailor's eye catches the wrong wavelength and mistakes this esk's otherworldly appearance for that of the nearby lighthouse.

There are some years where Seventh seems obsessed with lighthouses. Abnormals with heightened curiosity, or perhaps simply waiting to watch the next disaster that Seventh spawns, will follow it as it wanders the Great Lakes. Back and forth it goes, blipping past the water locks, parking itself in front of one lighthouse after another. There it stands, staring not directly but as if out of the corner of its eye, for days at a time, before moving on.
