I woke up this morning so unconfident... thank you everyone this is so... so awesome!! I am glad this piece brought meaning to some people and I hope it inspired you (= It is a piece that means so much to me and my music. And since my piano was taken away from me, it means so much more (=Thank you all!

This is awesome! When I play piano and can't get a song right, I do exactly this, sitting with my had on the keys while I play lol For some reason its like sitting closer to the keys makes me feel the instrument more ... I don't know if that's what you do, but I can really relate to this photo - seriously great job!!

thank you! I am glad you can relate to it! Piano takes a while to learn. Took me a while to get it! You have to work with two hands and sometimes that is hard to do. Just keep praticing and you will get it. Pratice every day!

Why was your piano taken away from you? This must be the worst punishment ever concocted.
I usually only flip through the DDs because I'm very particular about my art and the DDs usually don't do it for me, but today I was looking and was amazed by this piece. Piano is everything to me, even though I only possess a keyboard. But anyway, the piano really captures all of my emotions, and I come on dA and see a piece of art that really encompasses everything that I feel, especially at the moment. To me, this is incredible. The simple shot has such a current of emotion in it that I can really relate to, and for that, I thank you. This is very deserving of a DD.
On a technical stand point, the soft lighting really captures the love for the instrument and yet appropriately juxtaposes the darker, desperate feelings inside. The imperfections, like the chipped nail polish, kind of subconciously add a desperation because when you feel that no one listens, you can feel, well, chipped.

I am glad that this relates to you like that... it is what I create art for, to make people feel and hopefully relate to what I capture. It is sad that my piano was taken away. I took this shot right when I heard that it was going to be sold. It was out of my hands. I wanted one last moment with my piano.

They sold it becuase they are selling the house. Therefore, it was too big to move and had to get rid of it.
