Not that they aren't apt to reveal themselves at the most inopportune time no matter how utterly perfect their hidden place. In way, it sort of makes me think of folks who parachute, why jump out of a perfectly good airplane. What wicked motive has the witch who searches the depth and breadth of the forest, finds the exemplar nook to remain anonymous in, and then, so boldly shows herself.Ā

I guess so.
Many people out there usually do not understand witches and view them as "bad", though some choose to be bad witches not all are evil and out to do harm; it is what witch they choose to become. For at least, that is what I have learned. Witches have been judged and looked down upon for a long time, and society today still looks down upon people who choose do be different. I mean, people still cringe when they see a pentagram when it means the elements/ nature, and even mathematics. People refuse to open their minds, so some people just hide.

I am 100% with all that you say. I merely commented within a context to hang a hat on, and am delighted to read your reply to open thought of alternative dialogues. Tis far more than true the abuse and wrong down to "real" witches through the ages. Seeing your artistic interpretation, it was not entirely certain if the theme was theatrical or more along the lines which you have so graciously presented.Ā
Still, you leave me pondering, even within the context of persecution, I am still raging one eyebrow at the motive a of Lady gifted,m willing, and able to perfectly conceal herself from ill, why has she manifested here. The plot becomes wonderfully more compelling in the framework of your thoughts.Ā

I am very interested in lore (I also play like... A LOT of fantasy RPG games and stuff LOL)
I do a lot of reading and looking around on lore that might inspire me for a photoshoot. I used to also practice wiccan myself (long ago when I was 16 and confused) and within our society today, many wiccans/ witches or whatever you feel comfortable calling them, usually avoid telling people they are witches. Hence, back in the time of witch hunts (and this was... LONG AGO) when religion/ Christianity was huge, witches were viewed as dark people, like spawns of Satan, but some of these "witches" actually practiced healing and elemental witchcraft (there were good people who practiced witchcraft for good who were put to death). And then it got to the point where they could just assume a woman was a witch and put her to death (people were a bit insane back in those days).
So to avoid dying, many witches went in to hiding in to little huts far far away usually deep in the forest where they would less likely be found. I do not know if they ever came out... maybe to pick herbs or something and hunt. but just from the reading from books, lore for games.... it seems that witches are very calm, solitary people who do good without having to go near others.
