Did you do a selective blur on the background? It just seems odd that it is all of a sudden at a certain depth of the photo.

Oh, well. It isn't perfect but it has gotten a lot of attention, for one of my pictures at least, and I'm happy with it.

Nice, simle composition! Although I would rather use the blender than blur it in Photoshop.. A blurred forground could also help, now everything seems the same depth except for the ocean, streching outwards.

No I did not build it. It's a pier; a platform used as a landing stage for boats.
