I agree. That's one reason I especially enjoyed your fic, where you had Alexia capture and torture Claire by making her choose between Chris and Steve. I can easily see her having that kind of mindset.

Heh, heh.Β Regretably, I believe I'm done writing fan fiction.Β Vengeance took me over a year to write and that was because I got caught up with "That Night" and other shorts and one-shots.Β I just don't have the time to write a long story anymore.

That's too bad. I can certainly understand; big projects can tap you out creatively, on top of all the time constraints.

It's kind of like the equivalent of joining the NFL and winning the Super Bowl in your first year.Β While I know that my stories are a far cry from awesome, both Vengeance and That Night have become insanely popular on fanfiction.net.Β Even on this site they've gained over 1000 views.Β It is tough to really think of another story that could possibly compete with that kind of reception.
I'm still mulling it over.Β I had a bit of creative inspiration come to me for a short Leon story, but I'm not sure as of yet what I want to do.

I can promise you, my fics will never touch that amount of views. I look at it like this: I have a story I want to tell, and whoever likes it, likes it. Commenting is a lost art (especially useful commenting. "Awesome" is not a valid comment to me. WHY is it awesome?)
Personally, I say go for it. Even if this next fic isn't as popular, it doesn't take away from what you've already accomplished.
