I have the story -and the others on Hyperborea- in a Ballantine book HYPERBOREA edited by Lin Carter.

Thanks for looking and commenting. There's another CAS story I hope to do a pic of sometime for the story, The Seed of the Sepulcher. It involves a desolate cursed location with a monstrous entity. To my knowledge its not a Hyperborea story but it has been anthologized quite often. I read it in the Night Shade published CAS collection. Check it out if you haven't read it, its a good one.

It was not in any of the CAS books I have, but it and GENIUS LOCI were in GoogleImages, along with a pic of the bone-lattice of the seed. Set in modern times.
