...Moon, that is.

As much as the fandom frightens me into oblivion (and please don't ask me specifics or question me about it at all, i'd appreciate it), Nightmare Moon has been my favorite of anything i've seen of the new show. I stopped watching it however but still, I got this horrible love for her because...well to put it bluntly like that other image I did of her-

She's a fawking Winged Black unicorn. As a kid, I wanted one SO BADLY. I still love Black unicorns a lot...and...and ARGHHSgaddg. I know she isn't as BLACK as she should be, but considering she isn't a 2D flash cutout I had to really flesh her out. Blue and purple seemed the best to keep with that whole "night" theme she has.

I love her eyes, by the by. I always end up drawing some characters looking straight out like they are going to mangle some faces. It's actually creepy to some level when I render their eyes fully in images like that. Because then it looks like they are looking at you.

SO, this idea came to me last night while playing around with those Pre-war concepts of Wings and Inderel and low and behold, this came into being. ~Jasbraman made a comment to me when I showed him the in process about how she looked more 80s pony...and then my brain exploded in a good way.

SO yes, THIS is a G1/80s version of Nightmare Moon. If somehow this infuriates anyone, well god damn people, I grew up with the damn things I think i'm allowed to play around with this concept!

For my childhooooood! BAWL.

Seriously, I want to be specific here...should definitely be one of the Dream Beauty ponies, [link] .

I had the sparkly ones...but of course my mother gave them all away years ago so weeping internally over them. Always, ALWAYS wanted the pegasus... I definitely would make a Custom Nightmare Moon out of a baity version if I could find one - but they are pretty rare to begin with.

Would also consider making her out of a rundown Fashion Star Filly too (Oh shi- we getting really old school now, I don't even know how many of you remember that toy line... [link] good reference site) but yeah.

I had a lot of dinosaurs and colorful horses growing up, what a marvelous combination. :I

Also just more paint practice...had to attempt something organic. I don't know if I can touch any dinosaurs or dragons yet...but I will. I WILL. After a bazillion more robots...maybe.
