Working on an alt mode for Ravenwing (and the others in her group that have the same general outlook) was proving to be a bit tedious...so, messing around with trying to draw better planes. Good chance i'll be messing with cars in the near future.Considering the whole vehicle aspect, had to start somewhere, honestly.
In any event, the weird one in the top right is the general concept. Based quite a bit on an F-117, as that was her original form way back in the day. Or something.
I need to get a Titanium TF jet so I can poke around with the Alien Seeker mode some. Ugh.

Good practice! In my unprofessional opinion, vehicles are a pain in the ass. But I'm glad you've posted your delvings. I like the alien one the right--I think it has a nice design. I guess you've already pinpointed which mode Ravenwing will have?

I agree so much, vehicles are nuts. I'm gonna try very hard to attempt at drawing more of them though. And thank you, and yes- the one that looks like some sorta bird jet thing, lol. Tried to keep the F-117 look somewhat, but I guess it will be better to see it when I try and make it bigger.

Haha, oh gosh. And as for the side, I tried...failed...I still have a lot of work to do to figure out more on the perspective of these. It's what I get for drawing mostly organic type things for years and years though, lol. ><;

Ahaha, it's better than my attempts. I have a "How To Draw Transformers" book (which is all but useless to the more-experienced-than-complete-novice artist) that showed me how to do aeroplane perspective, but I decided a whole ago that I can't emulate G1 and insist on imitating Animated instead. It's more...fluid and forgiving.
Well, any practice is good practice. You perfected your lineart on the organic stuff, I guess. >< There's no real waste of time when you're trying to draw /something/.

I have that book, if it's the one called "You Can Draw Transformers!". I actually have quite a few drawing books, as I study a lot of them to get better insight (mostly with anatomy, no matter what anyone thinks... -_-
And so true on the last sentiment, now, if my muse and mind and drawing hand would work together for that, then i'd be one happy camper, LOL.

Yeah! That's the one. XD I knew I recognised some of the sketch line styles in this deviation. I have one or two other reference books. (The only one I use often is "Manga for Dummies" really.) I need to get some anatomy ones because I've been trying to fake it and I'm starting to see where knowing some muscle configuration would help me.
Augh, helmets. I have an affinity for crowns/pointy things sticking off my helmet designs, but they rarely look nice. My real problem area is legs. If I only started drawing busts, I'd be in the clear.
Well, I love your style, and I'd love to watch you progress with it too. (Hurray for devART! 
Haha, so would I. My muse is so fickle it changes fandoms on me from one week to the next. D: It's very irritating when I want to role play, or don't have time to draw/write ideas out until later.

Hehe, I love that book- it helps that my favorite artist spear heads most of the work in it, even though Simon Furman wrote it apparently. SADFACE. I have quite a few reference books, and just art books in general that I gawk at to try and get my creative blood running - a lot of the time though anime/manga are really get me because of how alive they look and how many crazy scenes they come up with.
And arrrrgh...oh god helmets. I am still trying and hardpressed to get to the point where I don't have to draw like the perspective lines on some images, but argh. And I am in the same boat, lol. Though out of all of them, Ravenwing has my craziest designs, but i've redesigned her helmet a number of times to make it more, er, alt mode and drawer friendly, LOL.
And oh god, I will say legs can REALLY drive me nuts. And it's normally when they are just standing idle. Ref images right now are driving me crazy because I like doing scenes and action or something, but DURPIMASTANDHERE really seems to make my muse weep rivers of blood and whatever else it is and makes me dislike everything til the bitter end.
And thank you on that, hehehe. I am trying to simplify it some, because lately it's been trying to go haywire, this is what I get for really personifying my mind/muse and all its other things that go with it. But I do agree, hopefully pursuing it and sticking to it will aid, i've been fiddling for a while and just now getting stuck in what I want, and compared to the past, well, I don't like to go look, LOL.
And aww,I used to be like that. Rather, for a bit I had a few different themes I played with, and I tried to jump between them, to keep things from getting too all over the place, and in a sense since most of it was on another site, to make people happy I guess, even when I didn't feel the need to draw some of this stuff. But...everything else seemed to fall off the wayside and I just want to mess with Transformers for some reason. It's kinda weird, but I like it...just as long as muse wants to work with me and stop making me mad with too many ideas while i'm still messing with others, lol. When I was younger, really was into a lot of things, I guess now it's finally settled on what it really wants, i've falled in and out of TF for a while, and this current obsession has been going on for all most a year, basically stabbing everything else I was into (besides the MMO stuff) in the face.
Well, that and dinosaurs and MLP...but for MLP...it's started to falter, and I oddly I don't seem to mind much, guh.

Lol, well, truthfully I did not have them set as any specific anyone, just drawing them out (besides my OC's alt mode, the Cybertronian stealth jet and of course the general Seeker mode) but knowing I did make them look something like actual characters is ice, especially unintentionally. XD
