Hur dur dur. SO, I got a wild hair...and ended up drawing the ladies.Honestly i've been doodling a lot of crap today/yesterday so hopefully my inspiration/motivation whatever it is that is hanging out doesn't up and roll away later...but I guess it has to do with my not caring much on a lot of things lately. That sure clears up the air...but anyway -
Autobot femmes; not all of them but some of the better known ones including Arcee just because she's already in TFP canon and bleh. Some of them look like they'd fit right on in with the cons, mostly Beta who'd probably beat the Energon out of anyone, taking names and continually doing so. I dunno, it's late and i'm tired...but she came out pretty crazy. War torn and whatever, friggin' Amazon. Chromia just looks like a butch glitch whose gonna punch you in the face and smile about it - I guess she's gotta be tough to put up with Ironhide, amirite? Fff..ff...
Of course, Moonracer is going to look bubbly...Firestar (Not Flareup, i'd probably alter the helm some if it was her - was just going off the key G1 femmes) just looks like she's got a 'tude and of course Arcee and hfsdngsdgn Elita1. Oh you Elita...oh you.
Usually I tend to get kinda growly at the end of sketches, but I really liked how they all turned out, and really, the helms weren't so hard to try and alter...THOUGH CHROMIA...I really hate that thing on her head...the center thing. Whatever it is. Can probably tell by all the blue that she was the toughest to mess with honestly. OH WELL.
I may end up fiddling with Decepticon chicks later. Totally need some Esmeryl, Slipstream, Thunderblast, Strika and...uh...I don't know.
I may indulge and put in Ravenwing because I can and there isn't many femme-cons. Don't judge me or i'll stab you in your eyeball...<3

Looking good. Of all of the new designs you've come up with, Chromia's is the most G1 accurate while Moonracer's is the least. Over all though, they all look good. I agree with the others in saying that Chromia has a "devilish" expression on her face.

TFP aesthetics plays a lot with curves and flow and detail i've noticed. Mangling them to fit that look I had to alter quite a bit on some of them, but like Arcee who looks nothing like original Arcee, even in mannerisms, I think they are alright. It's not like these are going to effect the show in any form anyway, LOL. I appreciate the comment however- and yeah, she ended up with that look - seems I am getting a soft spot for her too. Darn fembots.

Lol Ah Spotlight Arcee...I have a love/hate deal with that character. Not because I am all for HURDURDUR Girly Arcee from G1, but the fact that they basically tried to derride femmebots in general by implementing her reasoning for having a "gender" because of experimental tampering. Apparently being female is bad news bears.

Well the reasoning is that robots in general have no 'gender' the case is same for Transformers to some of the more hardcore serious TF otaku's ..but personally I think they should have 'genders' since we are so familiar with those terms ourselves ever since the day we were BORN! I mean...before I had ever read that spotlight comic on 'HOW' the female gender was introduced I always thought there were female Transformers from watching the cartoons...I always wondered why Hasbro didn't make more to appear on the show and what not...but then again that sort gave many fans the push to make their own Transformer female characters outside the 'canon' character list..maybe I should shut up before I start going off on some feminist rant XP

Well, it all depends on how you percieve them. I had a conversation with another fan who is more along the lines of doesn't like them having genders either, because they are robots. But for me, they are more than that - living robotic alien monster things (ok well not so much the monsters unless you bring in the Bay-verse but I love them for that) so with that mindset, I don't see a problem with genders. In general, when push comes to shove, they aren't real, so what is the problem with them having genders? Or not even? I personally like the idea, but i'm not one to stuff it at others, and only make my stance known a little more strongly if someone is opposing me in a manner like i'm wrong for believing a fictional race of aliens from another planet that transform into planes and cars can have boys and girls. LOL
To each their own as they say, but some people can get really crazy about it.
As far as Hasbro is concerned, they should really think about how it might effect the "kids" who watch it when they say there is no genders. If that is so, then why even have any in the first place for them to relate too? Arcee is female in Prime, if not, then they should have made that known before hand then giving her the "she" and female form, and female voice. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck...the whole nine yards. But I can't speak for them or other fans. I will just continue on with my own concept, if for some reason it bothers others, then I think someone has a little bit more rage issues or some such to worry about the thoughts of someone elses view of the fandom.

I love how you do the femmes' TFP head designs, especially Beta and Elita's.
And currently I'm doing some obscure and no image characters which include one femme bot and one femme con.

I really loved the one you did with Karmen, you also make me want to go eat more Copic markers, gosh darnit. Not familiar with either, but I like the designs a lot - but then as usual I kinda go bonkers about the femmebots anyway.
