I'm new and I found this on the monthly critique forum and I don't know if I was supposed to comment on the forum or on this. But for this photo, I like the amount of contrast around the face because that's what seems to emphasize her face and draw it out from the background. I love the pose except I think it would also be a good idea to show the neck as necks kind of remind me of fragility, but it's still a wonderful shot! The tilt of the head is wonderful

This is an interesting photo. The shirt blends in with the background both in color and pattern. This forces the viewers attention to her face and her eyes. There I am greeted with a great look, making me want to know what is on her mind, or what was said to her to generate that look.
