Description
Made with Mandelbulb3D, Irfanview and Virtualdub. While exploring formulas I stumbled upon this tree and thought an animated GIF would be interesting to show the funny way it turns around. Watch how adjacent branches rotate in opposite directions and the fractal trajectories of smaller branches...

No plan to make a tutorial on this, sorry. In short, I use the animation editor and then assemble the frames in Virtualdub and export as GIF. There are many tutorials on Mandelbulb3D out there.Β Thanks!Β

How does one critique what one does no understand. Oh the mathematical complexities of this in order to bring beauty into chaos of stuck between the second and third dimensions of reality. I am impressed by its illusion art visual facets, it is like looking at some sort of carnival ride, where the device has two components, the engine that makes it turn, an a wheel that can be manually spun by the person in the contraption itself. And though impossible, still fun to look at.

Thanks Mark. Even after 3 years on M3D it is still possible to find such hidden gems
