this is great, if i was drawing this i would work it up on multiple pages. the background on one and the girls on the other. then put them together in ps or something.
i really can't wait to see this finished.

Thank you! ItΒ΄s my eagerness. When I decide to post it it has to be fast. See the pic as a pencil draw with a little ps-flub! The coloured version is done on eight layers and more patience!

i know how that is... i can do stuff in an hour from start to finish, if i have to. i don't find that to be very rewarding personal... i'd rather spend one day on one piece and make it really cool and enjoy the time spent on that... i guess for me it's more the process of doing, rather then the finished product...
that's why i spend no more then 2 hours max on color, but i can spend most of the day or only 20 minutes on the drawing.

i couldn't agree more

Yes itΒ΄s a long way from the pencil drawing to a full coloured version ( still checking out the ps-tools!)

it's vast, not as vast as coral painter. but depending on how you work it's allot of fun. the best way to learn photoshop is to just play with it and ask question.

There must be another tool for the outlines than freehanded and vector (both not good for my little tablet and 15" laptop)! I donΒ΄t know how other artists draw straight curves! IΒ΄m searching for better tools!

channels maybe?
1. create an alpha channel,
2. then in black, make a mask over the whole image you want to out line
3. then make the alpha channel a selection.
from here you can go a few different directions to get the out line.
i'm using a laptop too, but i have a second monitor and a large wacom.
i'm finding that changing brush sizes and the hardness... also the flow can be helpful when size and space are issues.

WhatΒ΄s a channel? I use masks, but before I have to do the outline (omg canΒ΄t write so fast in english ) and outlines are the problem! (btw- I donΒ΄t want to wast your time!)

if i can help you it's not a waste.
under window? or pallets in the tool bar in photoshop, theres a dropdown of pallets... one should be called channels.
it's also in the group of 3 pallets.... layers, channels and paths?.... the mindset is by painting a mask over your image, you then can create a selection, then stroke the selection to create the out line.
i wish i knew german, or a translator program loaded

Yes, I found the channels, but I donΒ΄t know for what they are good for! ( ps-version without help)
I thought it would be a colour control (RGB)

it is, but you can create a layer called an alpha channel.... i'm sorry... i really can't communicate it correctly... i will try to make an example at some point
