For a strange reason, the RR cartoons liked me, most for her in fact; when I hit the internets and find these wondeful BBS and Usenet dedicated to her I was amazed; some of them filled with amazing stories and illustrations far away from the usual rule 34 thing, im posting another of these images I do for a planned but unfinished (fortunately) hentai doujin of her; and I stopped just because that very image, in my book she are one of the very first cartoon/anime Internet Icons along the fans; aside with Chun Li, not at the same level as Ariel, but pretty close.
Maybe I was wrong on this, but what I see in Feb of 1998 was that; a lot of Fanbase for her.
