well anyway hope you like it
Sel
Edit: Due to comments made I decided to clear this issue up. NO! I dont support game and pleasure hunting...killing for the shear pleausure is just fucked up and deserve everything coming to them....but those that hunt purely for food I do infact support as it is moving away from the industralied mass slaughter that occurs.... For you fellow Animal Rights suporters...I'll tell you this before you flame me...if we wish to reach true equality between species then why should we make a difference between species by alowing others to hunt naturaly for their food (like lions etc etc) and then forcing the human species to live on a constricted diet....we should be alowed the freedom to choose as other species have.
...so yes hunt for food and there is no problem but make sure you do it yourself....so then you can really see the effect of ending someones life for your own feeding....
anyway enough of the mini rant
but yeah, problem cleared up eh

I'm very sorry, I think you are mistaking me for someone else because I swear I don't remember ever talking to you. I also have no wolfaboo friends, so now I'm quite sure you are mistaking me for someone else.
Look, I don't know why you're so upset with my opinion. But all I can say is that comparing modern hunters who mass-kill animals on an unnatural way for something they can live without to animals following survival instinct. There is a difference. If you want to compare animals hunting to people, then please compare them with people like this [link] [link] instead. At least then it makes sense, since those people usually don't have another choice and hunt completely fair and naturally.

HW is probably one of the few people I've met on DA who really loves animals. Do you know the definition of the word wolfaboo? It's a person totally obsessed with wolves, thinks that wolves are better than any other animal, only draws wolves, can only talk about wolves etc. Since HW defends all animals and not just wolves, calling him a wolfaboo doesn't make sense. Also, I assume you are an anti-wolfaboo? Then how are you any better than wolfaboos themselves? People like you only disagree with animal cruelty when it works in humans their favour. Considering animals products doesn't equal disagreeing with animal cruelty. No offense, but hating people for disagreeing with animal cruelty is beyond my understanding.

" but hating people for disagreeing with animal cruelty is beyond my understanding."
You're doing that thing again where you try to make me out to be the villain. Usually, it means you have no further argument so you resort to making me look like an evil, heartless bastard. Oh, and the "no offense" part to try and make yourself look better. I'm not really that stupid.

I myself am a hunter, and I understand why people think it is wrong, but we hunt for the thrill of a good time and our own food to save up money and not waste it in the shitty economy we have at this point in time. I am souly against drinking if I were to do it, or my friends, but one or two for anybody else isn't bad. Not all Hunters drink beer. That's a bit stereotypical. When you say 'Save an Animal' you should really be talking about POACHERS; not hunters in general. Basically to me, you are stating that all hunters are Poachers. We aren't. This stamp, It's a bit offensive, if you ask me. And I understand you did an Edit, but it's just plain rude and crude to tell someone to go drink and drive. A bit uncivilized. I respect you in the matter of pointing out your opinion though. Kudos to you. Anyways, to clear things up, I hunt for food. I'm not a slimey poacher. And we are all animals, so go tell serial killers to go save an animal. It might resolve a crime *cough*SARCASM*cough*. This stamp basically tells me you are stereotypical to Hunters, or maybe stereotypical in general. Maybe you should ask a hunter what he does, and what they do with the meat and maybe you'd understand.

Hunters are humans, humans are animals, that means that one life will be lost and anouther might stay around a bit longer. Is that realy nescessary? This stamp tells me that you want many of my friends dead - not something which endears me to you. However, seeing the description you wrote, I agree with you not minding hunting for food, but this stamp does condemn all hunters
The hunting argument should be made maturely, and without rebukes and insults to either side.

hahaha this is somewhat similar to a saying that i have. around here, a lot of people have bumper stickers that say "save an elk, shoot a wolf"
I counter by saying "save a dozen elk and a wolf, shoot a redneck"
wooooot. I agree with your ideas on game/pleaseure/trophy hunting. I hate that kind of hunting. you should only hunt if you're going to make use of that animal's rights by eating it or using it to survive.... an no, decoration does NOT count as a need for survival!

I think that if hunters are going to kill an animal, have some respect and use the whole animal, not just for the fur, or the claws, or whatso ever. Use it all. And i think hunting endangered animals is wrong too, i want them to stay around for next generations to come. I mean hunting deer is not that bad in my opinion cuz they breed like bunnies. I have just seen some pretty reckless hunters before and ya, i mean what is so great about killing nature if your not going to use it all? Its mean. How would you like to be hunted down, get caught in traps or skinned? To me it would suck. I hope there are some respectful hunters out there still.. and i hope they dont go drink and drive cuz thats dangerous for the victems (sorry i cant spell very well lol)

Remember: if you can easily go to a supermarket to get your food, you really have no reason taking out wild animal populations in the first place.
So drink and drive...
But what about the victims of drinking and driving? My friend was walking his dog and almost got hit.

Round here hunters flagrantly drink-drive anyway, but since they're in cahoots with the police nobody does anything. I like the stap though. However, how is hunting for flesh different from hunting for "sport"? Since humans can live perfectly happily (and much healthier) without meat, surely it's still just killing for selfish pleasure?

OBS: I will not tolerate shit getting thrown at me for stating my opinion, thank you.
Let them have their hobbies, they're not hurting you. I support Animal Rights too, but my father and my grandfather are hunters and I see no problem with that. My reason? The animals does not suffer, deers are getting overpopulated anyways.
Large wild hunts on the other hand I cannot accept either, mostly because; why do you want to shoot an elephant? Easy, shits and giggles. Now that is not something I support at all!
This is just me of course, but I wouldn't really say that Animal Rights is a completely valid topic here, it is a hobby when everything comes down to it. And maybe I've misunderstood something at some point in your describtion, but I don't really get your edit. It's seems a bit strange and possibly hypocritical to me. First you say it's not OK to hunt unless it's for food, then you say (what seems to me as) let the hunters do their thing and decide for themselves.
Other than that hunting is an ancient instinct in human-nature and therefore it's hard to forget about it completely, be it for food or fun. Populations are rising and some are even dying out, which is why hunting is also in fact good. It's not like they're killing an entire race or letting the animals suffer like on mink farms. No offense at all, but maybe you should edit your describtion a bit, it's hard to understand and I think some people might take it another way than meant, though I am aware that this is an old stamp by now. And you might as well think twice about the text, drunk driving isn't a joke even though it's a bad idea all in all.
I read your comments about the so-called hunters you hate, never heard of hunters performing those sort of brutal kills ever. Had they ever occured I should say they're long gone, like with the Hubertus Hunting, they don't chase real life foxes anymore.
I grew up with hunters and butchers so naturally I can't see anything wrong with this issue, I find a deer's head beautiful hanging on a wall, though I still enjoy watching Animal Planet and Yellowstone and know that there are animals out there never to be touched by mankind.
So unless we should all go vegetarian in the end, I'd say some people (not necessarily you!) should relax about this topic. There is nothing wrong with it. I reckon people are permitted to say whatever the fuck they want here, as I read some of the older comments, so I am ready for any sorts of flames despite my warning beforehand.
I ain't no hypocrite, but I still love animals despite my positive attitude towards hunters. It matters to me if people kill rare species that are threatened extinction, but the last time I checked deers weren't on the last but vice versa. I hate when people wear animal fur, but if they place a deer-head on their wall, then let them, we got a few and they look good.. OK, better stop now, guess I've spammed enough already. And to make sure people won't feel attacked I'm gonna put myself on the 'neutral'-smiley.

Except there's drunk drivers that hit animals too. xD But I get your point, this stamp is funny and made me laugh.
Also, I support controlled hunting when a species is becoming over-populated. c: Hunting itself isn't a bad thing when for a good reason (food and population control), but doing it for pleasure is like you said- wrong.
