this is my favorite part of Project Hyperion
I'm going to try to sum up this scene from a 4/5 book series
Nemesis was a alien giant monster put on earth to keep the human race in check and to keep other alien races off earth and was seen as a godess of vengeance . That was until an Alien robot showed up and killed her, jump to modern day when her remains are found and about the same time a little girl named Maigo is murder by her father. Her DNA was used in an experimental organ growth, and combining Maigo's DNA with Nemesis's DNA and accidentally making a new Nemesis with Maigo as a developing conscience, which goes on a rampage until she kills Maigo's father in a very metal way.

Later after killing and also almost being killed by her half bothers and sisters Nemesis eject the Maigo part of her mind which gives Maigo a new body.

after that Nemesis and Maigo became to different people which makes Nemesis more of a monster with out Maigo being her conscience. Which then Maigo was going to sacrifice herself and rejoin with Nemesis to take contorl of her to help fight some very big and bad Spiders, but before Maigo could do that Katsu Endo "a sociopathic ninja to quote Jon Hudson" took Maigo's place as Nemesis's conscience.

now we get to PROJECT HYPERION where Maigo finds the giant robot that killed the first Nemesis some they can have a fighting chance against an alien invasion. And when Maigo shows up with Hyperion (the giant robot) Nemesis goes berserk because she remembers when Hyperion killed the original Nemesis. Which Maigo then reaches out to Nemesis with her mind to calm her down.
