Akiko Pinto started her life as a mysterious Assassin and jewel thief, under the name "Quills".
She was one of the best thieves in the city until her luck ran out she planned a heist at the Mayhem mansion in search of some rare jewelry but failed because she couldn't get past The Masquerades and Iron Block once the fight ended she was sent to jail.

She could have been left to rot but the owner of that mansion Mastermind saw the potential and her skills and he employed her as Ms.Quills the new member of the mobsters of Mayhem.
