This is a quickie I did of "Weekly" from the comic "Blacksad 2". Markers and ink on Bristol board. I love that cute little rascal, so I redrew this image from a frame of the comic so I've got something to put on my walls.Related content

Very, very good reproduction, because not only you got the proportions and colours just right (and they are gorgeous!!), you also got the feel and heart of the character, and that's much harder

I can't believe someone else knows the Blacksad comic. I love it.
It's amazing how well you did Weekly, BigBlue. I mean, it's a perfect replica of the frame. His cute, careless expression is positively awesome, the fluffyness of his fur ROCKS, and that pose...... gosh! This is an instant favourite. Oh, let's not forget those eyes, too.
But if the drawing and the colours are more than worthy of praise, then the shading is the delicious cherry to top off the milkshake. It really brings Weekly to life, not in the character sense like his expression and that playful glint in his eyes, but in the way that he seems less a 2-dimensional character, and more a deep, unique and alive pine marten.

I love the face and expression, so full of personality. You really draw muzzles and maws well. I like how you drew the mouth in this pic. The ears seem a bit small for a fox, but I haven't seen the comic or character you've drawn here, so I don't know if that's the way they are or not. Still a great job, though. : ]

It's not a fox, it's a pine marten. Hence the small ears.
