You've probably wondered what Leo, the giant powerlifter - looking guy is doing in the Prometheus / Space Jockey section - this is why. In my Prometheus fanfiction, Leo and his crew find the Engineer and wake him up. If he had come out of his capsule and did the Berserker Bob routine, it would have earned him a painful lesson.Ridley Scott pointed out the Engineers were aggressive ------ers, but I would think they'd have some sense of self-preservation - or at least the sense NOT to take a poke at a 500+ kg one-punch knockdown champ. Getting his ass handed to him by this guy could save the Engineer from a worse fate, though...
When I first saw pics of the Engineers, my first drawing thought was a staredown between an Engie and a youngish male of my OC race, with my guy offering to break a bunch of the Engineer's external ribs if he wanted to pick a fight. Then I found out the pressure suit ribs are kind of rubbery...
Feb 2014: Decided to use this scene after all. Wanted to avoid the default assumption the Engineer would attack anyone else who woke him and wasn't another Engineer. Then it occurred to me that startling someone who hate surprises is a really bad idea...

Leo and his people are original characters/creations of mine.
Leo is based on a sketch I originally started to work out a spacesuit design. I usually have a running dialogue in my head, and I ended up drawing this huge fellow with his arms crossed over his chest and a big lion's mane of hair. Leo seemed like a logical name for him. Making him an expedition leader is not too different from his original back story.
His race, called Tanissian, was inspired by a lesser-known book series written by Anne McCaffrey in which high-gravity-adapted humans (heavyworlders) ended up being the villains. My version still get misunderstood, but are generally "nice guys", modeled after the powerlifters I met during my college days.(I used to compete in this form of weightlifting.) It was easy to adjust them to being in the Prometheus/Alien universe, and they somewhat resemble the "naked" Engineers when they are younger.

Sorry for the slow reply
Pretty cool that you have been able to draw OC out of spacesuit and a book series+ modeled from weightlifters

Really? I would like to see that
