Exactly what edition of WHFB are you going for - color-style-wise?

I don't recall any of the later editions using the glaring bright coloring that much, or the checker-board black and whites that much

look for example the 8th edition orcs&goblins armybook.
And background of course. Orcs&goblins MUST use bright colors and ise checker-board of all kinds.
