So this is my first drawing with my new tablet as well as my first drawing done in Paint Tool Sai. I have to say that learning both of these at the same time is beyond frustrating.
I kinda feel like I'm back to day one here, learning everything all over again. Sure the coloring is much easier than it was with a mouse, but the lineart is super choppy compared to the perfect lines that the pen tool gave. Drawing good, smooth, clean lines is friggin' impossible to me. I think this one may have taken even longer than it would have if I used a mouse.
Anyways I drew Furret as my first tablet drawing cuz what else did you expect from me? I feel like from now on I'm always gonna draw Furret and the other females with eyelashes, sometimes I would and sometimes I wouldn't, but now I'm just always gonna do it cuz I like consistency.
I still got a lot to learn. If any of you got any amazing tips I'd love to hear them.

I have been using that. Is 15 the highest it goes? I saw stuff like S-1 after that so I'm not sure.

Nice work, and we all do go through those phases of clean slates. [Heck the Mark of Mastery for Sora and Riku had them relearn everything with a clean slate. and only one of them passed it so... spoilers XD] You can do it if you know you can lol. generic upbeat quote lol.
But seriously you can do it if you know you can do it.
Plus tablets might be a little easier cause I'm like derpy at the mouse XD.
edit: Oh also after reading Halgalaz 's comment I realized it also matters if it makes you feel comfortable using them. so yeah.

Don't worry, I'll definitely get the hang of it eventually. It's just this beggining phase of "what the fuck do I do to get this result?" is very infuriating. I can only look at so many tutorials before I wanna go mad.

if you are not comfortable doing linearts with tablet , why not keeping making it with mouse and coloring part with the tablet ? that could be a nice duo until you feel ready to use fully your tablet
as for SAI , idk what you used before but you'll see this program is pretty easy ( and was rather similar to my previous program , that I still use for some stuff)

I feel like I should try and make the lineart with the tablet so that I'll eventually get better at it. Looking back at using a mouse it kinda felt like cheating when it came to the lineart. Also doing the lineart with the mouse was part of the reason I wanted a tablet in the first place. Making lines one at a time was real fuckin' boring and started to make me lose interest in drawing things just cuz of how slow and tedious that part was.
I used to use Photoshop CS5 extended but all of a sudden it won't accept my generated serial numbers anymore and I pretty much can't use it now. Guess I'm lucky I got SAI from you and DeepSeaGalaxy cuz I'd be shit outta luck.

Photoshop seems to have lots of glitches tbh , I never saw anyone not complaining about it XD

The only problem with drawing lines is that I usually have to make several strokes to get the desired angle or curve. On paper it's fine, but on a tablet it looks kinda weird. My linearts are probably gonna be real thick cuz of that.
Well the serial numbers weren't real so I guess it's my fault for trying to abuse the system. I never bothered to get a cracked version so I'd have to find a new serial number on google every time I wanted to boot up the program. They probably caught on to my tricks after like 9 years.
