I do not, and will never, understand things like this. People how insist on using their freedom of speech to complain about the government rather than trying to work with it. I support Obama and I believe that he was the right choice. I am not by any means saying that you shouldn't express yourself, just do it in a more constructive fashion, rather than simply complaining about the current administration, you should try to progress society rather than dwelling on loss of the past and try look forward to the future.

If people can say such possitive things about him there has to be something negative too. Obama isn't god you know...

I'm not going to respond to the god part of that. But yes, Obama has flaws,so does every other human being on this planet. So why is that our focus? Why do we as a society always try to find the worst in an individual? He is the president of the united states, He had over 69 Million votes so he can't be all bad. I certainly hoped that that many people are not completely stupid.

Just because he's popular doesn't mean he's instantly a brilliant man.

Why? What's wrong with responding to it, he's not god...if you think he is then...there' probably something wrong with you...

T-dog60 In reply to thelilaro [2010-01-07 04:48:10 +0000 UTC]

the reason I didn't respon to the god comment because I am an atheist and me responding to that by saying, "there is no god so your point is moot" would make me sound like an enormous prick

As I said before, I can only hope that the 69 million people who voted for him were intelligent people who agreed with his policies and plans for the nation, cause if they weren't then I agree we would be royaly screwed.

But I am an athiest. I was simply using as an example as to what people act like he is.

And most of the people voted for Obama because he was Black, and I'm sorry but that's really not proving anything really brilliant.

Really? They do? I've yet to see a Shrine to Obama, or any type of new religion springing up around him. most people simply see him as a man, however he is also the man that the country wants right now.

That, my friend, is association not causation. These people voted for him because they were sick of the scandals and debacles that have been the face of the republican party for the past 4 years, not to even go into Bush's first term. They wanted something new. They, to be completely clichΓ©, wanted change, and John McCain couldn't give them that.

You'd be suprised on how many do act like that, it gets a little ridiculous after a while.

But a lot of people, maybe not including yourself, did vote for him because of the colour of his skin, it's pretty easy to see that.

What proof do you have of that? What blaring racial bias have I missed here? Yes there were some people who voted the way they did do to color, But not all of them. It is very easy to say from the losing end of the stadium that the referee is a blind idiot, now the referee may in fact be a blind idiot, but the people in the other side don't care. I am biased by the fact that I wish do support my president in what ever it it that he wishes to do for this country. You on the other hand appear to be biased do to your support of a different candidate or set of ideals. And as such we could debate on this in a circle, each one of us giving a different argument and counter argument for each point the other gives in a constant circle. Or we could accept that neither of us is likely to change our stance on the subject and simply "agree to disagree" to use another painfully cliche phrase.

When I say a lot of peopel I don't mean the whole freakin' population.

And since when am I biased, you don't even know me. Infact I wasn't even the one who started the argument. I don't honestly support any president in USA, because I don't live in USA.

But yes, I do think this thing is going nowhere, stop if you want.

Wow. Let me guess your a white middle class Christan going to a private school and mostly have your parents pay for your education? (Or you are homeschool)

My god. Your ignorance is amazing, just the sheer fact that you are so asinine about everything. Where the hell do you draw your facts from? National Review? Glen Beck?

No. Not everyone can work. (It took me two years to find work because of sevear social phobia and limited communication skills, another has multiple diagnosises of Schizophriena, Bi-polar and probably PTSD as well, and will never be fully employed) Go homeless for a few years and tell me what it's like to live off of goverment support. You'll probably will never know what it's like to suffer discrimation based on your gender, race, health or religion nor will you know what it's like to really go hungry. Most likely you'll be suckling on your mother's tit way until adulthood.

Will Obama might take a little off you, your mother and father steals from countless hard working americans who are living paycheck to paycheck or on social security. We work hard and pay our taxes so you can sit on your fat ass and post stupid shit on Deviant Art.

TL;DR
Whatever retard.

btw, if you choose to not work (my parents were in that catagory but i CHOSE not to depend on the gov and other ppl's hard earned money!!) then you deserve to not have. sounds harsh hu? well life is harsh. i donate to churches, food banks, hospitals, fire fighter, and police associations. these places do a far better job, more effecient job, and suck much less money from their donations then the gov will ever do. they just keep growing and spending, and blambing the other side for problems. personally i think we need to throw them all out and start over. but almost no one cares what they do as long as they get their hand out. its a shame. you get what you put into life, or so it should be.

I think it's improving quite nicely. Better than my country (Britain). Currently, a huge scandal had been revealed. Turns out that our members of parliament were using the taxpayers money on themselves. One bought a HOUSE for his DUCKS that cost almost Β£2000. No joke.

People will keep saying that until they realize Obama and Bush are/were being driven by the exact same people, the exact same goals, and all the same corrupt motives. Bush just put a friendly face on over it, and Obama... well, I guess he thinks people can't see through his act, but the ones who can know that there's nothing "friendly" about him.
