Actually it's about time... The middle and lower class have been paying for everything for YEARS while the rich have enjoyed a steady, low tax rate. Trickle-down-economics my ass. Why should the rich pay the lowest taxes when they've already got everything they need? It's the poor who can barely get by. Just think of this as paying back for all the years you've been given a break in the past.
Besides, you don't think the poor don't 'bust their ass' just to manage minimum wage? My Aunt worked two full time jobs for years, with about 4 hours of sleep at weird hours of the night before her next job. Sometimes she just slept in her car, and we only ever saw her once every few weeks. How's that for working hard?

not all the money. some money. you know,I'm italian. southern italy is poor and for us (northers italians) is normal to help the others with money,paying more taxes. and not only this. we have to pay a lot of money to the govern,that send them to the hospitals.
so,if a poor person falls ill,he haven't to pay nothing. I think that it's fair.
my father is more rich than a lot of italians,and he thinks that rich people CAN pay a little more,for helping poor people. me too.
you told me "everyone can works". not so true,sadly. and even if a person can find a work,it's not sure that his salary can meet the costs of life...

well yeah but my family gives money away already to poor. why make it so .. 40% of our pay checks go away.. do you know how much 40% is?? thats nearly half of what my parents make gets taken away.. thats not fair.. for what. a bunch of people who cant work.. find a fucking job. go to school. get educated..

40% is right... now,I don't know your personal sitation,my question is more "generic"... you really need 15 livingroom and 4 swimmingpools while there are people who can't eat? just this,I'm not judgeing you personally.
