Description
While traveling around AZ all night trying to find a patch of clear skies to shoot the Meteor Shower, (which didnt happen) here are some photos of my adventures on the journey. Lightning, storms, Massive bridges, Dams and yes even TarantulasIronically, to me, this one appears to be the Most Photoshop Enhanced. Though truth be told it's the least. 90% of this photo is untouched.

All of these are too goooood. I wish I could capture lightning! By the way, a random question, were you also caught up in that dust storm too? Oh, of course you have. My friend and you live in the same city >_>;

Yep, though the one from yesterday I was too lazy to go out and shoot. My girl was hungry and I had 6 photo shoots at work. And since this is my 5th sand storm this year, I figured i could skip it. Though I'm jealous now of all my friends down here that 'did' go out out and get shots... you just cant win.
Why cant you go out and get some lightning shots? All you need is your camera a cheapy remote and a tripod. Oh and a good vantage point for the storm. Preferably away from any lights.
you can do it

Because my parents might wonder why I am leaving my poor ABLE 25 year old boyfriend at home alllll aloooonnne at night! Oh, the horror he might face! And I don't have a cheap remote o.o Also, I wouldn't know a good vantage point. Well, now that I've said that, I got an idea, but then again, I wouldn't know where to set the stuff without getting hassled by crazy people in the night.

just bring your boy-toy with you, then you really dont have to worry about the ugly's buggin' you. If your camera has a spot for the remote they run usually less than 10 bucks on ebay. check it out. as for vantage points. just go out on the highway and pull off when you see the lightning. Just remember to NOT stand in the road! LOL

Well, he does work full time and he really doesn't feel like going much anywhere else. He's I think about a month and a half in or more being in his new position in maintenance. It's usually up to him if he wants to or not. Can't force him. :/ I'd probably make up an excuse anyway like school or whatever. Lawl... I'll check it out... but I'm still broke -_-

he sounds like a stick in the mud, make sure you get him out and remind him theres more to life than work! Broke is no good! but such is life right? i'm sure it'll break soon. Just keep on doing your best. you'll get there. perseverance is key! especially when you have talent like you do!

Actually, we had a talk earlier, he's just needing to do more work, meaning more art. Painting, photography, whatever may be. He just feels bad just sitting at home and just play games or watch Netflix. I'm just letting him do his own thing as I do mine. I just have more time than him.

what kind of art does he do in particular? Trust me when I say being prolific at your work is key. He should ditch the games (maybe not netflix) and get busy LOL!

Mainly painting with tons of textures... if you go through the albums on Cienis Artistry with labels beginning with "Cory," you will see... there are some recent ones that are shot, but not really uploaded. I told him, "Just force yourself to paint." He said that if he did that, it's not going to be as good. He does have a point, but then again... I really need to bust out with this list: [link]
It's a great list. I'd like to recreate it in my style. The one I need to repeat the most is I think #6.

We could all use to stop beating ourselves up. I do it all the time. ESPECIALLY on my artwork and most of all on my Logo designs.
I'll have to go and check out's Cory's work! Sounds like good advice, Just keep on painting!

Logos... ugh. I'm frustrated with logos, because our class had to rebrand and redesign a logo for San Marco Preservation Society. However, they're not really a society and there really isn't much on their website that says who they are and whatnot. So we did their logos and uhh... even up to the final one, they can't decide which logo they want because a guy from a design firm wasn't there. And they plain out don't know the frick they want, basically. > I wish you could be here in my city temporary so you could like... give me some awesome tutoring with logos! Sorry, I'm ranting, but I bet you know how it goes.

Indeedy! Thoooossse people! Don't even know what they want. What I reallllly hate the most is: design it any way you want.
Uh... what if the client doesn't like it? -_-;
