Ya know, this makes me wonder... There's a general consensus as to the ponified team composition, with the 'Mane 6' plus Big Mac, Spike, and Zecora. This team, largely being made up of the main characters, is an easy fit for RED team, who tends to enjoy the spotlight more than BLU. Which leaves me wondering...

Well, I've always liked the portrayal of Vinyl as friendly, but a little bit insane (Vinyl Scratch Tapes, anyone?). The kind of pony you know will watch your back, but who you would never let watch your kids. As for Octavia, she spends so much time lugging that cello around on her back, I figured she'd make a perfect heavy weapons pony. Plus, Octavia doesn't run around the battlefield; she strolls, as befits a pony of her dignity.
