One of the worst parts, I was soooo angry at that stupid old man!!
It's the only time the Doctor talks like that, and it's so damn true...
Tennant was magnificent in that scene T.T

I cry every single time I watch it. The music, and his awesome acting get me every time. And I don't usually CRY! *Spoiler alert* Oh, and just a tidbit of trivia, the music that plays while he regenerates is Vale Decem (composed by Murray Gold), which translates to Farewell Ten. Then I looked up the translated (from Latin) lyrics. And then I started bawling again. I had to blot my eyes while typing this. Anywho......(oh good, I can laugh now since I just made a pun) Sorry for getting soooo off topic. Great work by the way.

That's the best and the worst scene ever, all at the same time. I also cried a lot when Donna has to forget about the Doctor and seeing her in this episode made me cry T_T

I agree. This was the FIRST time that the writers and the actors called the process of regeneration a death. David's Doctor DIED as he was regenerating!(Forget about Matt's Doctor for a minute! haha.) Made it such a big fuss about such a popular incarnation of this ONE legend!! I loved David and I still do; I enjoy re-watching his episodes but the point remains: You're not a TRUE Whovian unless you've uncontrollably sobbed for your favourite Doctor as he's regenerating. Yes, you're telling yourself, 'It's just not the same without [insert favourite actor here]!!' but, you're still watching, right?
Sorry if I scared you.... ! haha

I sob whenever a Doctor regenerates... or a character dies, I love them all. I sobbed when Astrid Peth died. And when Rose "died"... especially when Rose died.

Every. Single. Companion really opened his eyes to what he should've seen years ago!! Love, pain, regret, fear, suffering, joy, and loss. Sarah Jane said it best: 'Pain and loss define us....' Our friends are our 'companions' in a certain special sort of way....

I love Hamlet--best play ever. by the best playwright ever. With David Tennant? My heart exploded. From joy. I love that red shirt... Red is to David Tennant what purple is to Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock.

ainI'm a British girl who was born and bred in America. It makes life hard. I use British slang and spelling and people get confused.
And then I spend a half-hour explaining the language barrier. And it grosses my grandma out that I like milk in my tea.

Milk in your tea? That's normal!!! I use British slang in my daily conversations and in my assignments all the time. No corrections thus far!!!

I love this scene, but hate it at the same time. Love it because of the wonderful acting by our friends Bernard Cribbins and David Tennant, but I hate it because IT MAKES ME CRY. I also love it because it's such a powerful scene, too.
